We are excited to welcome applicants for a Cancer Citizen Scientists Leadership Program for cancer survivors and advocates!

Applications closed on May 17, 2019. Please check back periodically to apply for the next program cycle.

Participants will be able to specialize in diverse research advocacy areas, including (but not limited to):

clinical trials

ethics and internal review board (IRB)

biobanking

omics

social-determinants of health

bioinformatics

epidemiology

Benefits to participants include:

A travel award for the 2-day experiential training and participation in a research showcase at University of Florida.

Eligibility to compete for a mini-grant to create training workshops to train other cancer survivors/advocates.

Certification to be listed as citizen scientist “expert” who is eligible to be nominated to be part of research teams across the country through organizations like CitizenScience.gov and National Cancer Institute’s Biomedical Citizen Science Hub- CitSciBio.
