Monthly Webinar: Cancer Survivorship
This month The Florida-California CaRE2 Health Equity Center is partnering with the NIH R25 funded, Comprehensive Research Training of Outstanding Leaders (C-ReTOOL) Program for the June 2020 monthly webinar, on Cancer Survivorship, given by CaRE2@UF MPI, Diana Wilkie, PhD, RN, FAAN. In addition to her expertise in oncology nursing which she contributes to the CaRE2 Health Equity Center, Dr. Wilkie is a Prairieview Trust Endowed Professor in the Department of Biobehavioral Nursing Science, Director of Palliative Care Research & Education at UF, and co-leader of Cancer Population Sciences in the UF Health Cancer Center. In the continuum of cancer health care and research, often there is a lot of visibility around prevention, screening, and treatment. We look forward to hearing about the role of research in cancer survivorship. The CaRE2 Health Equity Center thanks the C- ReTOOL Program for allowing us to attend this special edition of their weekly seminar, and for allowing this opportunity for all the stakeholders of the CaRE2 Health Equity Center (Researchers, Community Advocates, Graduate Trainees, etc.) to engage this fine group of undergraduates who are stepping up to the challenge of increasing the presence of underrepresented minorities in cancer research professions by dedicating their summer to this intensive research training program.
The webinar will be held on Friday, June 26 at 2:00 pm EDT. Please click here to register.
